Here are the headlines from this week: 1) We updated our playground's avatar creation flow to give you better quality avatars. 2) Our Zoom and meeting platform integration is out of beta, 3) We have a new websocket endpoint for low-level avatar integration (now in Beta), 4) LemonSlice avatars are now available on the Agora Conversational AI Engine.

Shipping Log - Week 31

Hi Everyone,

I missed last week's update, but our avatars were busy: they spent the weekend giving office hours to 6,000 founders at YC Startup School (see here). Here’s what we shipped:

1. Make better avatars. We shipped an updated character creation flow. Now, when you upload an image, we’ll auto-magically give you variations of that character that lead to good avatars. Your image matters A LOT for the quality of your avatars, and folks were confused about the best way to optimize a photoreal human vs a cartoon human vs a dog. We’ve now eliminated the complexity and give you images that “just work.” If you’re unhappy with the quality of any of your avatars, please send them my way!

2. The zoom integration is out of beta! Invite your avatars to any web conferencing meeting with just 1 line of code. Works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex! Learn more.

3. Try our Websocket endpoint (in beta). Several folks with existing voice agents have been asking for this. This endpoint allows you to keep your existing voice agent untouched, send us the audio, and receive an avatar video stream back. Email me if you want to try it.

4. Use LemonSlice on Agora! Agora is one of the leading WebRTC providers in the world (they hosted one of the largest live shopping events in the world with Mr. Beast and WhatNot). You can now use LemonSlice avatars directly in Agora. Learn more.
