Shipping Log - Week 37

Here's what we shipped this week: 1) a preview of our new general-purpose Action engine that makes avatars move and fidget like real people, and 2) a new advanced avatar editor for horizontal and green screen avatars. Plus, our CTO Sidney's talk on character world models.

Hey all,

Here's what we shipped in the last week.

1. General-purpose Action engine. Try out a preview of our new Action engine by talking to the demo avatar on the LemonSlice homepage. You’ll notice lots of subtle movements happening in the background – the avatar fidgets, plays with their hair, and occupies space much more like an actual person.

The ability to trigger specific gestures has long been a unique feature of LemonSlice avatars. With the new Action engine, you’ll be able to drive dozens of unique actions that make your avatars feel more alive - no setup required. Stay tuned for more!

2. New advanced avatar editor. It’s now easier than ever to customize your avatar without ever leaving the LemonSlice website. Horizontal avatars and green screen setups are especially easy to prototype and deploy into production. Try it out here.

And here's LemonSlice in the news:

Our co-founder and CTO Sidney Primas recently gave a talk on how LemonSlice is building character world models, approaching the avatar Turing test, and why we took a high-risk technical bet to get there. Watch it here.

Happy building!
